Chapter 48
Bron awoke from an amazing deep sleep,
she was debating whether to get up or not. Then she
heard her stomach growling. I didn’t eat yesterday,
no wonder I’m hungry. She struggled for a minute
to get her legs untangled from Kevin’s. Crawling
out of bed, she put her robe on and went to the kitchen.
After two cups of coffee, she figured
breakfast was in order. As Bron was pulling stuff
out of the refrigerator, the phone rang. She jumped
at it; she didn’t want him to be woken up by it.
It was Stevie and he wanted to talk to Kevin.
“Forget it, he’s sleeping and I’m
not waking him up, he’s very tired.” Bron said into
the phone.
“Let me talk to Bounce?” Bron asked
Stevie.
Stevie sighed, “I can’t.”
“You can and you will,” Bron informed
him.
“Bron,” was Stevie’s only reply.
“I won’t ask. I promise. It would
break the harmony around here.”
Bron looked at the phone slightly
miffed as Stevie started to snicker on the other end.
“Okay, who did you talk to already?’ she asked.
“Mc,” Stevie giggled.
“How the hell would he know? He
wasn’t even back here last night.” Her agitation
increasing as she was yanking stuff out of the fridge.
“He stopped by your door this morning.
Cute note, by the way!” Stevie told her.
“Oh shit!” Bron spoke in to the
phone, as she ran for the door, unlocked it and ripped
the note off the door.
Stevie was still laughing, “Did you
really write that?”
Bron smiled at the phone, “Yep.”
Stevie wasn’t going to let this go.
It had taken Bron too many months to get back to herself,
at least part of herself. He loved her and knew it
would never work out between them but this was too
important. “Read it to me?” he asked her.
“No,” Bron giggled.
“Come on, Mc was laughing so hard,
I only caught the first part,” Stevie chuckled.
Bron sighed realizing that if she
didn’t Mc would. Mc would be adding to it just for
his own amusement. “Okay fine, I wrote, Kaylin’s
in the house, don’t even think about knockin’, cuz
Kev’s world is rockin’,” and she giggled.
Stevie went hysterical with laugher,
“You’re so blunt.”
Bron laughed, “That’s what he said.”
Stevie paused, not sure how Bron
would handle it, “It’s good to have you back.”
“It’s good to be back, but different
too. I’m working on it. Can I talk to her please?”
Bron said quietly.
“Yeah, make it short, she’s getting
ready for school.” Stevie smiled to Bounce.
They talked for fifteen minutes chatting
about school and her new friends. All the new things
she had been doing and what fun it was. Bron could
tell that Stevie had practiced with Bounce on what
she actually could and couldn’t tell her mom. Stevie
hated doing it, but at this point there were no other
choices. Mc and Kevin were insistent that Bron not
know where Bounce was. They said their I love you’s
and Stevie came back on the phone.
“You’re not going to cry on me are
you?” he asked. Hoping Bron could hold it together
for just a couple more days.
“No,” she replied with a sniffle.
“Bron, come on hang in there, it
won’t be much longer. Webster is helping now.” Stevie
tried to reassure her.
“I know that’s what I’m afraid of.”
Bron sighed as she looked towards the open bedroom
door.
“Oh, fallen have we?” he asked with
no emotion, as he stared at the phone.
Bron didn’t know what to say but
the truth, “No, fell and hit hard.”
Stevie knew what was going on, but
this entire situation needed time and healing. “It
will be fine,” he told her.
Bron pondered for a moment and then
talked, “So you think. He’ll move on and I can get
back to normal.”
“Maybe, maybe not.” Stevie answered
her. “Hey, when did you put that note on the door?”
he chuckled.
Bron started to laugh thinking of
last night, “You don’t want to know.”
“Tell me,” Stevie whined into the
receiver.
Bron grinned, “You asked for it.
Right before the strawberries, champagne, and I sucked...”
“STOP!” Stevie yelled. “I don’t
want to know anymore. God what picture to leave me
with. What the hell has Richardson done to you,”
he groaned.
Bron laughed, “I’m sorry, I love
you.”
Stevie snickered knowing how to get
a rise out of Bron, “Tell you’re Master to call me
when he gets up.”
Stevie heard “Very funny,” and she
hung up on him.
Bron started frying bacon in a pan
and made more coffee. Once the bacon was almost done
she started the rest of breakfast. “I’m starving,”
she said aloud.
“BRON!” Kevin bellowed and she jumped,
startled by the loudness.
Bron shook her head, why does yell
so much, “What?”
“Come back to bed,” he said with
less volume, from the bedroom.
Bron stood there a minute and looked
at the door, “No I’m hungry.”
“So am I,” she heard him chuckle.
Bron rolled her eyes. Great it’s
going to be one of those days, she thought. She refused
to answer him knowing where the conversation was going.
Kevin lay there waiting for her response,
hmmm, not going to get one. “What did you make?”
“Bacon and eggs,” she answered him.
Kevin smiled, “Bring me my breakfast
in my bed.”
Bron began laughing, “Yeah right
you’ve got legs, get your ass up and get it yourself.”
Kevin had already slipped his jeans
on, knowing that wouldn’t happen in his life time
unless it was her idea. He strolled out of the bedroom.
“And just think I was so sweet to you last night,”
he smirked at her.
“Kiss my ass,” was Bron reply to
his comment.
“Love to,” he grinned at her.
Bron sighed, “Shut up and eat your
breakfast.”
Kevin walked behind her, poured a
cup of coffee and came to sit next to her on the stool.
“I’m not hungry,” he smiled as he draped an arm around
her shoulders.
“You just said you were,” as she
continued to read the paper, eat, and ignore him.
“Not for breakfast,” he answered
her.
Bron’s head snapped up from the newspaper
and she glared at him.
Kevin smiled, “Oh my virgin is back.”
His smile grew wider as he watched her get even angrier
with him. “My little virgin. I would say I missed
you last night but I didn’t.” as he chuckled and pointed
to his shoulder and then kissed her cheek.
“Leave me alone,” Bron yelled at
him.
“Okay, till you’re done eating.”
He laughed.
He watched her go back to her paper
as he ate and she ignored him. When he was finished,
he stood up and kissed her cheek again, “Thank You.”
Kevin placed the dirty dishes in the sink. Pouring
another cup of coffee, he stood behind her sipping
it and leaning back on the other counter. His eyes
traveled from her feet all the way up her legs and
stopped at the hem of her bathrobe. Damn I have to
get her a longer robe he smiled inwardly noticing
she wasn’t wearing anything underneath. That one
doesn’t cover much.
Bron felt him staring at her and
it was bugging her. She thought about yelling at
him, but she knew at this point it wouldn’t do any
good. This will work as she smiled at the paper.
Bron brushed the knife that was next to her and it
clattered to the floor as she turned the page.
Bron casually got off the stool,
bent sideways, picked the knife up, and placed it
on the counter next to her. She heard him suck in
his breath and she grinned. You want to bug me, then
I will tease you.
“Are you done eating yet?” came from
behind her.
“No, I’m making more toast,” as she
popped bread in the toaster.
Nothing else was said and the toasted
popped breaking the silence. Bron was still standing
as she went up on her toes and grabbed the toast.
She heard him mutter to himself and she smiled again.
Grabbing the toast and the knife she slowly glided
the knife back and forth over the toast. She was
barely able to contain her laughter. The movements
she was doing with her hands had nothing to do with
buttering toast.
Kevin was still leaning on the countertop
watching her. Get a grip she’s buttering toast.
This can’t be happening, as he looked down at the
crotch of his jeans. Toast is not a turn on he said
to himself. He felt his thighs and other parts tighten
even more as she licked the knife with the tip of
her tongue.
Bron heard the coffee cup being set
down behind her. Ha Ha! Now you’re gonna have to
ask. Let’s see how fast the cookie crumbles she laughed
in her head.
Kevin stepped up behind her and placed
a knee between her legs. Wrapping his arms around
her he squeezed her, as he rested his chin on top
of her head. “Got something you want to ask me Bron?”
“Yes Kev, here fill this,” as she
never picked her head up and handed him her coffee
cup.
Kevin grabbed the cup, hastily filled
it and set it in front of her. I’m gonna fill something
and it isn’t going to be your damn cup either, he
thought internally.
“Anything else you want to ask me?”
he asked. Slowly he leaned onto her so that their
entire bodies touched.
Whoa, that’s got to hurt Kev, she
said to herself. She could feel his arousal pressing
into her back. “No, but thank you.” She said to
the paper, never picking her head up.
“Are you sure Bron?” he said getting
frustrated with her refusal to do what he wanted.
Kevin pushed her into the countertop with his hips.
He brought his hands around to settle on top of hers,
pinning her to her spot.
“I’m sure Kevin,” she answered with
merriment. You want it, you ask, no she thought,
you can beg, she mused.
Kevin softly started kissing and
licking her neck. Okay you don’t want to give in;
I’ll put you to the point of no choice. “You taste
good,” he whispered.
Bron began to feel the warmth building
in her body and her heart started to race as he continued.
It’s those damn kisses she thought. Hold it together
Bron as the heat and desire were coming on harder
and faster. “Well,” she said as she pulled her hand
out from under his. Bron reached back and squeezed
his butt. “If I think of anything, I’ll let you know.”
She was losing control quickly and she didn’t want
to lose to him.
“You’re teasing me again,” he growled
in her ear, as he brought her hand back around front.
“No,” she answered thanking him inside
her head for temporarily stopping.
“I want you to ask,” he said with
a tinge of anger.
“I’m not asking. You want to. You
ask.” She answered him coldly.
“No.” he raised his voice. This
entire situation had turned into another one of her
games and the games were going to stop.
Bron paused, “They’re your rules,
not mine.”
“Rules aren’t for me, I’ve already
grown up.” He snapped at her, as he brought his other
leg between her knees. Kevin pushed her into the
countertop again roughly. I’m not playing your games
Bron he said to himself. He leaned down and over,
basically forcing her to do the some with his body
weight and began kissing her neck again. The idea
of taking right here leaning on the counter was becoming
more enticing by the second. The blood was pulsating
through his veins and his heart was beating wildly.
His hand came to the back of the bathrobe as he began
to hitch the fabric up.
“Morning,” rang through the suite.
“Oh shit, we’re sorry.” Mary and A.J. grinned.
